CAN OF WORMS
Channel TEN's new show Can of Worms is a gem. It has been a very good start and the numbers should reflect that.
It was very refreshing to hear Don Burke demonise political correctness, it was fantastic to watch the gormfully precious Jessica Rowe go all sqeamish, wriggling on her prissy twat whilst Don told it as it should be. I won't say, as she may deem it offensive, but...methinks there is something inserted somewhere keeping her back so straight...a stong moral fibroid perhaps?!?
The discussion about swearing though, when in the audience some young mum bemoned Gen Y as being the leaders in the use of colourful language, I felt that topic was washed over. I am the proud father of three Gen Y kids and they are extremely aware of what is appropriate and what isn't, when, but I don't doubt for a second that they use swearing in communication with their peers in the context that they mean it to mean, so much can be ascribed to one word sometimes. So what?
When asked if it was ok to look at a blind women's boobs, Don said he thought it was a natural response mechanism, at which point Ms. Rowe craned over to stare, with a pregnant pause included, directly into Don's crutch. Now Jess, men have boobs too, so we best approach the "mound" area with equality also eh?

Don let rip loose with some beauties, including telling Jessica that she looked fucking great, that sat her back, and rocked her forward a bit, but when we got to the crunch on the term for female genitalia, Jess got a bit flustered...the look on Jessica's face when she realised in a heated exchange she glorified the word vagina was priceless. " Did I just say vagina on national television..."
Can of Worms has legs, their guests to date have been spot on in offering a variety of view points, Meshel Lawrie is an absolute peach, and perfect as Dicko's foil and I look forward to a regular Monday night watching this fantastic local product.
