OPPOSITION THINK WE ARE ASKING TOO MUCH

    Pic - thepunch.com.au
I am seriously concerned about the dogmatic shift within the Liberal Party to a much harsher attitude to social services like pensions and all other forms of government funded help for our population. They have always been mean when in comes to supporting the poor, but now they reckon it is due to the fact that the baby Boomer proportion of the population is so large and that the largesse of Western populations that are apparently living in the Age of Entitlement . The Liberal Party see us, the people, as but an annoying element within the global financial crisis and lauding the fact they will be heretical in their re assessment of social support for the already impoverished.

JOE HOCKEY: Well, we need to be ever-vigilant. We need to compare ourselves with our Asian neighbours where the entitlements programs of the state are far less than they are in Australia.

Obviously we are spending far less than countries like France and Germany, even the United Kingdom and the United States, but still we need to be vigilant. We can afford to look at it on a case-by-case basis as they arise, but we need to reduce the size of the state, and this is the fundamental problem.
We are on the brink of taking our nation through our soon to elected Government to a complete and unemotional resentment of the poor and their draw on our nation's finances. We have had this International Monetary Fund, IMF, take the role of World Government caucus through the machinations of the market system. What a hoot for them eh!

A private company that floats the world's finances purely through the acquiescence to their 'authority', and we as a Nation, nay we are but a Federation of Colonies still, are asked to support this private corporation to the tune 0f $10-15 billion dollars, if needed for their Firewall Fund. Sounds like a good time to bail out of all this bullshit!

Now who is pulling whose dick here, who's the cunning linguist?

The Opposition spokesman, and a man I had a lot of respect for, Joe Hockey, until tonight, was punching as a 'heavy weight' for the IMF, I feel I saw in his eyes he was not convinced by his own argument. I have always thought that Joe Hockey was an honest, but staunch, Party man...tonight he dishonoured himself.

Watching tonight on Lateline with Tony Jones, Joe has described how his government will be leading a world movement to disenfranchise social security, and why one may ask? Apparently there are too many of us old bastards that built the country, totally dishonouring the men and women who died unjustly under British flags but served their king or queen with honour.

Hey Joe, you were elected to serve us as a people, not to rule over us and I know you know that personally, such a shame a man such as you should demean yourself to the Australian people by describing us a mere chattels.

    Two words Joe, Fuck You!

      MelbourneEast Arts Festival

Robert Lloyd has served the Australian and International Arts/Music world since 1986. Beginning in Adelaide he has travelled the world performing and composing his unique music and songs.

I have a couple of Robert’s albums but have seen little of him live so it was wonderful to be invited to see his performance at Holy Trinity Church in East Melbourne, a show that is part of the MelbourneEast Arts Festival.

President of Iceland Olafur Ragnar Grimsson identifies that it is a sane choice by nations to protect their democracies by simply allowing the banks to crash and default the payment of loans due to the IMF and simply rebuild their countries from the ground up.

After suffering IMF debts that were 10 times their national GDP, when the GFC hit, unlike Australia, Iceland's banks went crashing down in tune with the EU.

To take this idea of Crowd Sourced Democracy and apply it to Australia isn't as far fetched as we may think.

We all identify as Australians, whether from the far east, west, north or south, and every bit in the middle of this country. Our geological wealth is being sucked out of the country with relatively poor returns to the national coffers and our economy is tortured by global financial and economic organisations that would
