Listen To Older Voices presents the stories, views and opinions of our older citizens. It is predominantly in a life & times format, with interviewees reflecting upon their lives from earliest memories. An underlying principal of the program is to promote the concept of positive ageing, reinforcing the principle that older people have & continue to make a valuable contribution to both their local & wider community.
This is the second and final part of the story of Max Borchardt, in which Max brings his story to an end in this program. It commences with Max sharing more stories about his incredible experiences in the RAAF serving during WWII on a Catalina flying boat, stories such as often having to fly for 20 hours straight as well as being forced to fly only 90 feet above the sea with mines strapped to the bottom of the Catalina.
From Catalinas, Max moves across to Beaufort Bombers.

Here he shares some hair-raising stories, such as the story of an incident which was "hairy" enough to have the pilot chew off the ends of his moustache. Maxs stories dont end there but Ill let you discover where he goes with them you wont be disappointed!
