The inaugural Ride As One Charity Ball was held on January 30th raising over $30,000 in support of the Leukaemia Foundation. The night was hosted by Tottie Goldsmith who charmed and encouraged people to donate for blood cancer.
Pettifleur Berenger of The Real Housewives of Melbourne and model Cindy Carino attended the event alongside 280 guests at The Vue, Docklands..
Guests enjoyed a mesmerising performance international violinist Patrick Roberts and were entertained by Sam Ludeman (The Voice and Grease Musical) crooning like Bublé and rocking through to Bieber hits with all guests dancing the night away.
Ride As One is an annual cycling event organised by the Leukaemia Foundation. The inaugural charity ball was created by a committee of 5 Ride As One cyclists –known as The Lost Bottles, One Great Idea Events and Lori-Rose McGinty to aid in raising much needed funds for blood cancer. Leukaemia survivor and one of The Lost Bottles, Brian Loh, gave a heartfelt and touching speech, sharing his story and battle with leukaemia and why he's so passionate about helping to fundraise to help researchers find a cure
38 Ride As One cyclists, many who attended the inaugural charity ball, and The Lost Bottles will head to New Zealand's south island to cover 811 kilometres of rough and hilly terrain over 6 challenging days. The riders aim to raise $250,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. With over $30,000 raised from the ball the riders are well on their way to achieving their target
