    JOHN MONTESANTE DECTET
After an enormously successful show in 2014, the Flying Saucer Club welcomes back a stellar 10-piece jazz ensemble in the form of the John Montesante Dectet featuring the stellar voices of Joshua Kyle and Rita Satch to perform on Friday 6th March.

The group had its genesis in the JMQ (John Montesante Quintet) a fantastic, horn-led, modern jazz combo that takes inspiration from the Blue Note series, Bebop and American standards. The core JMQ members also perform in the extended band, with the addition of five musicians and guest singers, who breathe life to Montesante's dedicated horn arrangements.

With the wealth of experience of the members and the ability to perform with any guest artist in any setting, the band has a rare vitality and versatility that makes for outstanding jazz entertainment.

Although a large ensemble, this is not a 'big band' but one for Jazz aficionados, performing tunes such as You've Changed˛, Boplicity˛, łYou'd Be So Nice To Come Home To˛, Round Midnight˛,We'll Be Together Again, Bernie's Tune, Sail Away, Falling In Love With Love, and many others.

On this evening outstanding singer Joshua Kyle, regarded as one of the finest jazz voices around, will sing Mark Murphy and Bop tunes. He will be ably paired with seductive and soulful songstress Rita Satch, who has just returned from Paris to lend her considerable talents to timeless jazz standards.

For quality musicianship and radiant jazz talents, this concert is a must for jazz lovers.

    CARTESIAN SHPERES WORLD PREMIER (AUS)
At the axis of matter and mythology exists a project that stretches the current understanding of music within the electronica and classical music archetypes.
Steve Ward and Benjamin Skepper are two internationally renowned musicians from completely different worlds and whose early influences and future visions have coincidentally crossed.

Benjaminąs left hand thickens a depth of colour from his years as avant-garde classical performer, and Steveąs right hand widens the possibilities of sonic textures from a decade long career in the electronic music industry. Both stories amalgamate to create a concept that is yet to be offered to the rich tapestry of our current musical landscape. Cartesian Spheres: fusing the aesthetic of art, performance and melody.

    ALFONSO CASABONNE (PERU)
Estudio Casabonne, directed by Alfonso Casabonne, is the premier visual animation and digital mapping studio in Peru.
