RUDIMENTAL
ANNOUNCE special GUEST GRMM FOR NOVEMBER + DECEMBER AUSTRALIAN TOUR
Following the announcement that celebrated UK dance quartet Rudimental will set Australian stages ablaze this summer, Frontier Touring can confirm that Sydney’s very own electronic wunderkind GRMM will join as special guest on all shows.
With over twenty seven thousand followers and six million combined streams on Soundcloud, GRMM has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting recent producers in the Australian electronic landscape. The solo project of Sydney’s Benn Markos, GRMM broke through with the track ‘What You Need’ (out now through Neon Records) that was given the seal of approval by none other than Diplo on his BBC Radio 1 program.
As one of the top 50 most played songs on Triple J for 2014 and climbing to #1 on the iTunes Electronic Chart, his second single is the superb chill-trap powerhouse ‘Electrify’ feat. Father Dude and hails GRMM as an essential artist to watch. He once again collaborated with Father Dude on the genre-hopping triumph “Level Up” that amassed over 800 thousand Soundcloud streams, saw him nominated for Breakthrough Producer of the Year at the Stoney Roads Awards and was named as one of inthemix’s ‘Rising Stars Who Deserve the Hype’.
Having gone from strength to strength with each successive single, GRMM has announced the Die Young EP set for release October 2nd and a planned eventual release in the UK and US. He’s also established himself as a remix maestro by completing edits for The Preatures, Yolanda Be Cool and a reinterpretation of Gorgon City’s Here For You that received heavy rotation on triple J and climbed to the top 5 of the Hype Machine charts.
‘The sound of a producer that's on the rise fast. The drums and the skittering synth in the drop is a highlight.’ – Dom Alessio
After capturing our hearts with their incomparable brand of euphoric electronica on their 2013 Australian tour, Rudimental are set to take us to new heights with a fresh collection of hits from highly anticipated second album We The Generationout tomorrow, Friday October 2nd through Asylum Records. Following first single ‘Never Let You Go’ feat. Foy Vance, Rudimental have teamed up with frequent collaborator Ed Sheeran on the second cut of their sophomore release ‘Lay It All On Me’ that teams Sheeran’s soulful vocals with sun drenched steel drums. The exquisite track looks set to join multi-platinum selling previous singles ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Not Giving In’ as well as that Mercury Prize nominated and BRIT award winning ‘Waiting All Night’ as the summers most inescapable anthem. They’ll also be performing alongside Peking Duck and special Fingers at Vanfest in Forbes, Central NSW on December 4.
Having sold five million singles world-wide and joined by one of our most exciting local talents GRMM as special guest, Rudimental’s November and December tour promises an exhilarating night of non-stop hits. Don’t miss out!
