Mossop took a very quick break to host an exhibition of his work at The Paterson Gallery in Fitzroy last Friday night. The exhibition was for one night only and it was certainly well received by the growing crowd that attended and so it should have been. With the white walls of the gallery and the large format framed prints and canvasses of the work, the two elements combined perfectly for immeadiate effect. The work itself was portraiture and Mossop had captured a varied range of expression within each of the pieces that left you wanting to know more about each character. That is when you know you have made your mark as a Visual Artist. It leaves the viewer wanting to know more about the piece of artwork which will involve a discussion around the idea’s that came to form the piece of art in the first place. Mossop achieved this with the pieces he had on show.
