Art can be pretty diverse and it does encompass many aspects. This can be Photography,Drawing, Painting and even performance. One man has taken all this on board and is making his mark across every aspect. Glenn Mossop is the frontman of Melbourne band Bonjah, who themselves are stamping their mark on the Australian music market. With the release of their third album, Beautiful Wild, they are currently selling out venues across this wide and beautiful land.

Glenn Mossop with his artwork.

Mossop took a very quick break to host an exhibition of his work at The Paterson Gallery in Fitzroy last Friday night. The exhibition was for one night only and it was certainly well received by the growing crowd that attended and so it should have been. With the white walls of the gallery and the large format framed prints and canvasses of the work, the two elements combined perfectly for immeadiate effect. The work itself was portraiture and Mossop had captured a varied range of expression within each of the pieces that left you wanting to know more about each character. That is when you know you have made your mark as a Visual Artist. It leaves the viewer wanting to know more about the piece of artwork which will involve a discussion around the idea’s that came to form the piece of art in the first place. Mossop achieved this with the pieces he had on show.

I think we will see a lot more of Glenn Mossop’s artwork and more exhibitions in the future. In the meantime you can go to the website and enjoy the artwork anytime by going to:www.glennmossopart.com>
