Will Ian "Molly" Meldrum ever work for Channel 7 again?
In front of a room full of supporters, Ian Meldrum affectionately known as Molly walked slowly to the front and took a seat in front of a microphone.
His reason for attending the Readings Bookstore on Acland Street, St Kilda tonight was to launch his second book - "Ah well, Nobody's Perfect - the untold stories"
With his red-headed grumpy and moody assistant Yael Cohn in the front row, Molly took questions from the audience about his experiences on TV and his well known controversial interviews with various celebrities. One topic stood out - his relationship with Elton John that as he describes in the book, has been strained by the producers of Ch7 Sunday Night program. Molly was commissioned to interview the famous Elton John for the Sunday program. The EP and the segment producer decided to air an off-camera discussion between Molly and Elton, where Elton slams Madonna in front of an open mic and rolling cameras. This part of the interview was clearly a c... -

Young Children Helping to Save Lives
Victoria’s triple zero service is urging parents and carers to include children as young as three and four-years of age in their safety plans, including teaching them how to call 000 in a life-threatening emergency says ESTA the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority. ESTA’s CEO Julia Oxley said it’s important for children to take an active role in their own safety and have information about what to do in an emergency and when to call triple zero. “Knowing how to call triple zero can reduce anxiety felt by children when faced with a safety or emergency situation,” she said. “It is also extremely important to teach your little ones to say their address. Our expert operators can get police, fire or ambulance help on the way when we know where they are.” Triple zero gets hundreds of calls each year from young Victorians, some as young as three years old. Families can practice when and how to call 000 with the online simulation game at ...

Did Prue fall on her own sword or has she elected a late-in-life career change?
Following our exclusive report on 22 May 2016 (which can be viewed here) the director of the City of Greater Bendigo council’s planning & development department, Prue Mansfield, has tendered her resignation from council.
The announcement of her departure came as a shock earlier last month but is welcomed by many key stakeholders within the community.
Prue has been in the role for almost a decade, leaving a rather messy trail in her wake.
City of Greater Bendigo Chief Executive Officer Craig Niemen has been quick to sing her praises by way of issuing a statement stating;
...“We live in a thriving regional city and Prue has overseen the development of much strategic planning, including the Residential Strategy, Hospital Precinct Structure Plan, Rosalind Park Recreation Reserve Precinct Master Plan and the Integrated Transport and Land Use Strategy (ITLUS) – all documents that will shape how we live for years to -
